Policy for Using the DMA Member Community

The DMA Community provides an online networking opportunity for members of DMA for professional exchange about dietary management. Members enjoy freedom to exchange information and share knowledge is a sales-free, confidential environment, with respect for every member's circumstances. By participating in the Community, you agree to:

Refrain from using the Community to market or sell services/products for personal gain, and refrain from using language that is offensive to others, and honor the confidentiality of members' postings.

Failure to abide by this policy may result in removal from the DMA Member Community. DMA staff is expected to remove any post or thread that is negative, confrontational, or abusive in any way.


Advocacy – the Voice for DMA Members: The government advocacy efforts of DMA support the expertise and regulatory recognition of Certified Dietary Managers. DMA has representation in Washington, DC to gain visibility and secure meaningful legislative results to benefit the DMA membership. Government advocacy staff members also assist chapter volunteers in their state legislative initiatives.

Beyond the local and national network, DMA members are also members of Healthcare Caterers International (HCI), a global alliance of membership associations representing foodservice managers (“caterers,” as they are called in other parts of the world) in healthcare industries.
