Categories of Membership

Active Membership: for individuals who have graduated from a DMA-approved dietary manager training program.

Associate Membership: for individuals who have not graduated from a DMA-approved program, but have obtained a two-year, four-year, or advanced degree in food service, healthcare, or a related field, or have successfully completed a 90-hour state-approved dietary manager course. You may also be eligible for Associate Membership if you have at least three years of verifiable supervisory experience in food service. Associate members enjoy all benefits, except the right to vote or hold office.

Student Membership: for students enrolled in a dietary manager training or related program. Join as a student and enjoy many DMA benefits (except the right to vote/hold office). Take advantage of the magazine, private Web access, publication discounts, and much more! Your student membership expires in 18 months or when you graduate. You’ll receive a $10 credit towards your upgrade to Active Membership in DMA.
