Welcome to the Indiana Dietary Managers Association website. Our state organization is comprised of almost 650 Certified Dietary Managers working in Long Term Care, Hospitals, Schools, Correctional Facilities and other non commercial establishments serving the public throughout the state of Indiana. The purpose of this website is to communicate goals, activities and opportunities to the members of Indiana Dietary Managers Association and to introduce to the community to what it means to be a Certified Dietary Manager.
Dietary Managers Association, established in 1960, is an organization of professionals dedicated to achieving excellence in the food service industry. Membership in DMA nationwide is comprised of 15,000 Certified Members in all 50 states.
What it means to be a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM, CFPP): A Certified Dietary Manager has the education, training, and experience to perform the responsibilities of a dietary manager and has proven this by passing a nationally-recognized credentialing exam. This credential requires a total of 45 hours of continuing education within a three year period to maintain certification.
