Maryland Dietary Managers Association

Maryland DMA Maryland Dietary Managers Association was organized in April 1969. In July of that year we became affiliated with National DMA. We have three districts in our state: Appalachian, Eastern, and Western Districts. These districts began to form in 1980.

Our membership of over 200 consists of men and women who work in the food industry. Health care, correctional facilities, schools, camps are just a few examples of our membership occupations. Maryland State provides two workshops each year with one being a membership large conference, held in Ocean City, Maryland. Each district attempts to provide at least two workshops each year. State and District Associations are governed by officers, which include President, President-Elect, Secretary and Treasurer. The state has many committees that are available to assist new membership with issues and assist the state board with issues and projects as they arise.

We attempt to provide a variety of programs for our members ranging from food service, sanitation, hiring and retention, legislation topics to health and beauty tips. Our members deal with a wide variety of situations throughout their work experiences; our goal is to help them as much as possible.

Pride in Foodservice Week is February 6-10, 2006. Show your pride! See the newsletter for ideas.

Washington D.C. and Delaware are under the umbrella of Maryland.
