A Postcard from President Shirley,

Hello fellow DMA members!

I am so excited about national convention, hope many of you can attend. Nationals is a great opportunity to net work and keep up on all the new trends in the business. With budget restraints and higher customer demands we as certified dietary managers need to be at the top of our game everyday. We not only answer to management but to our customers and sometimes this is a very thin line, (not to mention sanity issues). This year each state was asked to participate in a raffle to assist with scholarships for students as well as participants to be able to come to national conventions. We as a state are sending a basket of Oregon specialty products. I am getting donations from vineyards, local area products such as hazelnuts, coast items, just as a variety of items to promote our area. I will take it to nationals where it will be raffled, with the other states items. Looking forward to seeing many of you in Philly and joining in the fun. Also anyone interested in volunteering for any position or just to help out please contact any of your board members we would love to have you we always need new ideas and healing hands.
