Volunteering
is the Essence of all Tennesseans.
For over 35 years, volunteer leaders
have guided the Tennessee Dietary Managers Association in offering
excellent educational and professional support to food service managers
in health care and related facilities.
Dietary Managers Association, established in 1960, is
an organization of professionals dedicated to achieving excellence
in the food service industry. Nationwide, DMA is composed of 15,000
certified members in all 50 states.
What it means to be a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM,
CFPP): A Certified Dietary Manager has the education, training, and
experience to perform the responsibilities of a dietary manager and
has proven this by passing a nationally-recognized credentialing exam.
This credential requires a total of 45 hours of continuing education
within a three year period to maintain certification.
