Through cooperation and support from DMA, Barton County Community College offers an Associate Degree programs on-line. If you don't live near a college, or your work schedule makes it difficult to attend classes, this provides a flexible, convenient way to earn an associate degree — in your own home, following your own schedule. All you need is a computer, an Internet connection, and willingness to learn! Depending where you live, you may be able to access on-line courses through an Internet connection at a local library.

Offered in conjunction with eCollege.com, this associate degree program with emphasis in dietary management was developed to reach out to more students nationwide. College officials say they hope the associate degree course in turn will lead to new opportunities for students to pursue their bachelor's and master's degrees on-line through other universities. The program is designed to prepare individuals to work in a foodservice management setting, or to provide advanced education for CDMs. Curriculum includes courses in sanitation and management of food systems, nutrition therapy, and human resources management. Professionals who have achieved Dietary Manager training from other educational institutions may submit documentation for transcript evaluation towards the associate degree.
