| Dietary
Managers Association (DMA) is a national not-for-profit association
established in 1960 that today has over 15,000 professionals
dedicated to the mission: "to provide optimum nutritional
care through food service management."
What it means to be a Certified Dietary Manager
(CDM, CFPP): A Certified Dietary Manager has the education,
training, and experience to perform the responsibilities of
a dietary manager and has proven this by passing a nationally-recognized
credentialing exam. This credential requires a total of 45 hours
of continuing education within a three year period to maintain
certification.
Wisconsin Dietary Managers Association was organized
in 1963. Our membership of over 475 consists of men and women who
work in the food industry. Health care, correctional facilities,
schools are just a few examples of our membership occupations. Wisconsin
provides two state conferences each year. Each district provides
two workshops each year.
Wisconsin received the State Achievement Award at
the national conference, which was held right here in Wisconsin
– Downtown Milwaukee to be exact.
